1963 GMC Fishbowl BusOur original 1963 bus is FOR SALE and this is definitely a one-of-a-kind custom bus. If you have ever considered....then do not delay as this is your chance!

A little about the history of the bus:
Our 1963 GMC transit bus, commonly referred to as a "fishbowl", began its life as a city transit bus on the streets of Tacoma, Washington. After many years of dedicated service it found its way to us.

I do not believe that we ever would have initially imagined ourselves with this bus, but once we stepped on board there was no question. From the beginning, the "homebus"( as our son would grow to call her) became a trusted ally in our quest for more fulfilling lives. The bus is designed to carry many people and in a way, it seemed to be begging us to put her back in "service".

To meet that end, we completed a total re-renovating of the bus to better accommodate our groups. The nowhas bunks for six in the back, three dinettes up front (that make into beds), DVD player with two screens, Vegetable oil and solar conversions, new paint job.....the list goes on. Take a look at a few of the pictures below, but you really need to see it to believe it.

This has been the SWA bus for nine years and has been a true asset in helping to get our organization to where it is today. It has been a solid bus for us and is now running better then ever with its new engine! The only reason that we are selling this bus is due to our need for a larger bus and if we could keep both we could.
